Getting here

Down historic Mercer Street.

On your way to the museum you'll pass through Princeton's revitalized Mercer Street arts district — take your time and enjoy the murals and shops.

Directions from US-460

  1. Take US-460 to Princeton, WV and turn onto Ingleside Road.
  2. Take Ingleside North to East Main Street; follow East Main one block to Mercer Street.
  3. Turn right onto Mercer Street at the intersection by the Grants supermarket (speed limit 25 mph). Follow Mercer Street northeast past the US Post Office.
  4. Bear right to stay on Mercer Street near the Methodist church, and continue eastward through the arts district — past the Library, Artists' Alley, the book mural and the Renaissance theatre.
  5. At the fork of Mercer Street / Straley Avenue, bear right onto old Mercer Street into the brick-street historic district. Pass historic Wheby's Grocery and continue to the end of the street.
  6. You've arrived — park at the Princeton Railroad Museum, 99 Mercer Street.

We'd love to help you plan a visit or special event. We house exhibits of railroad artifacts, artwork, books and photographs, a restored Caboose #308 to explore, and a children's area — and we love school groups, scouts and 4-H.
